Fifty-five metres at anchor off the Croisette for the final week of the film festival, close enough to hear the photographers. By day the tender runs you to the beach clubs and the terrace of the Carlton; by night you climb the red carpet in black tie, and afterwards the festival seems to find its way aboard. A stylist, a hair and make-up team and a car at the steps of the Palais are arranged before you land.
